Can I Get A Witness?: Testimonies From Our Core Team (Part II)

Last week you heard from members of our Core Team, who shared why they joined our church plant.  This week you will hear what made them stick around and why they love their church.

What do you love about your church?

Elyssa, 34

I love that I can see the Gospel displayed in the way we  love one another, in the truths of God’s Word, and in the priority of authentic relationships.

Jesse, 25

These people love God and genuinely care for each other. We’ve only been together for a year (and have known some for less) and I love them like my family.

Chelsea, 24

What I love most about Renaissance is that from the very beginning, we never felt like we had to be perfect. Everyone is honest about their shortcomings and the fact that God is still working in their hearts and lives to root out sin. This makes it easier to be honest about sin so that we can hold one another accountable, and remind one another that our sins have been paid for on the Cross, which means that our Father loves us no less because of them.

James, 30

I love how close and how open we are with each other. I feel like we’re all in this together, through the good and the bad. The community we share is at the top of a long ‘list of loves’ for our church; of course all of this is united through Christ.

Tom, 31

I love that I can be myself at our church.  It is a place where I can go and not have to dress  or act a certain way.  I also love that we are outwardly focused.  We try to love others like Christ has loved us and share with them the good news that they can be accepted by God not by their works but through the work of Jesus.

Alex, 24

I’m a single girl living in a big city far away from my parents. I love that  Renaissance is my family. We care for each other, pray for each other, and love each other all because Jesus cares for us, prays for us, and loves us first.

Next week you will hear answers to the question, “How has God changed you since you joined our church plant?”
